A list of 5 enthralling books to keep you warm this winter!

One of my all time favourite things to do on a cold winters night is to snuggle up in bed and catch up on all the books I've been meaning to read. Especially when I've had a long day (or week...or month, haha) at work and I'm in desperate need to just wind down and relax. If you're looking to do the same, but don't have a 'to-read' pile on hand, then here are 5 books I would recommend you start with!
1. The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand
The Identicals revolves around two estranged twin sisters who, after a series of sudden events, decide to trade places in each others lives. The dynamics between the two sisters, the beautiful setting on the famous islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, and the spin Hilderbrand put on a classic tale all came together beautifully to create a truly captivating novel.
2. For One More Day by Mitch Albom
For One More Day is a very touching book that follows the question: What would you do if you could spend one more day with a lost loved one? In Albom's signature style, the story ropes you in, breaks your heart and then puts it back together.
3. The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
“Don't you think it's better to be extremely happy for a short while, even if you lose it, than to be just okay for your whole life?”
I remember reading this book as a teenager and finding myself so emotionally attached to the characters and their heart-breaking story. The Time Traveler's Wife was so beautifully written that the relationship between Henry and Clare felt so real, despite the science fiction aspect of the novel, and I couldn't help but root for their love-story to have a happy ending.
4. The Mysterious Mr. Quin by Agatha Christie
One of my favourite Agatha Christie novels and definitely one of her most underrated, The Mysterious Mr. Quin tells the story of Harley Quin, whose mysterious and sudden appearances to a person's life can only ever result in one of two things: love, or death.
5. All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
An emotional read that left me feeling raw each time I would put the book back down. If I'm being honest, All the Light We Cannot See took me a month to read because of how strongly it played with my emotions. Doerr did an excellent job at putting the readers in the shoes of the characters, and making us feel like we were living World War II right along with Marie-Laure, a blind French girl desperately trying to escape the brutality of the war, and Werner, a German orphan whose extraordinary talent force him to become a member of the Hitler's Youth.
